Daily Meditations 9/30/2017 (Psalm 51:10-12 NIV)

Psalm 51:10-12New International Version (NIV)

Min. P.E. Barber II
10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

The Joy Of Salvation

This morning I think about the LORD and His goodness. How daily we seek Him, and He provides provision for us.

There is a joy to following the LORD. There is a peace in knowing that He has you covered in all of life's trials and tribulations. With faith, it is a blessed assurance. A knowing that in spite of how bad things may seem you will succeed. This translates to a joy inside which is unspeakable.

Though we try with our words to explain, it is truly a thing that must be experienced. This joy inside of you is something the world did not give to you. It is not a possession that can be taken from you. It is not a relationship that can be removed by time, breadth, or depth.

Even the grip of death itself cannot take this joy. You who are covered in the blood of the Lamb. You who stand in the congregation of the Saints. You who speak the words of fire given to you by the burning flame of His Holy Spirit.

Peace Is The Product Of This Joy

So when you feel weak remember that the joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Have peace in knowing that He has you in His hands. Those who know will know. Seal up the truth in your heart and bear fruit in your lives.

I pray that if you have lost the joy of salvation that it be renewed in you this day. In the Name of Christ I ask this, Amen.
