In The Beginning Was The Word

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

When I sit and I think about Him, who is of ultimate concern and importance I stand in awe of this scripture.

In the beginning... before there was man, animals, space, time... there was the Word. This Word was with God, and this Word was God.

My contemplation for this day is upon this scripture. It is no better scripture to focus my feeble attempts to express what the Lord has done for me into words.

So in the beginning of this blog there will be one Stone set. The Stone is the Rock, the Christ, the Holy One of God. God the Son, the manifested Word of God sent forth from eternity to pay the debt we incurred against His Holy Account.

Why Another ... Blog?

A blog is just an extension of a person's thoughts. In the grand scheme of things I do not matter. What matters is the seed that is planted. The testimony of the Word that is given. And what is this testimony? What is the reason for this... this blog?

To Preach The Good News of Christ

Sound strange? I'm not trying to hide my message. I am not trying to modernize or change its symbols. However, I wish to show the relevance of the message, the centerpiece of this whole foray into writing...

The centerpiece is Christ. He receives the first place here. So if I'm writing about the election, reflecting on the news... Christ will always take the central place of the message. He is the ultimate concern of my message.

So I dedicate this blog to the very One I am writing it for. May His message resonate thru everything paragraph on this blog.
